The route

Right above the east shore, Mont Veyrier and Mont Baron (high point 1,290 m) offer one of the finest views of the lake: you see it from end to end, with Annecy below and the Aravis opposite.

The climb is long and steady. The route is technical in places, exposed to rockfall and slippery in bad weather.
