The Galibier is the only closed pass of 35 in Savoie, and the D213 to Saint-François-Longchamp is cut until 31 October. Snow is forecast at altitude in Maurienne until Saturday.

The Col du Galibier (mountain pass) is listed as closed on Savoie Route this Wednesday 21 October (read at 7:31): the Département closed the D902 on the Valloire side on 16 October "in anticipation of adverse weather", with no reopening date announced. The tunnel remains open. It is the only closed pass out of the 35 monitored in Savoie. Meanwhile, two access roads in Maurienne are shut for roadworks, and snow is expected at the top of the ski areas until Saturday.

What Savoie Route says
- Galibier: closed, from 16 October at 4:20 pm, end not announced.
- Iseran: the pass is shown as open, but a road-closed notice on the D902 at Bonneval-sur-Arc (access to the Col de l'Iseran, drainage works) runs until Friday 23 October at 7 pm: check the notice before heading up.
- Saint-François-Longchamp and Col de la Madeleine: the D213 is fully closed for a bridge construction, from Monday 19 October at 4 am to Saturday 31 October at 6 pm, during the All Saints school holidays.
- Villarembert – Le Corbier: the D78a is closed round the clock until 30 October (diversion via the D78 towards La Toussuire).
Savoie Route reports no snow or ice difficulties across the 37 monitored sectors this morning: for now the snow is falling above the open roads. A webcam never proves a road is open; only the official notice counts.
