Figures from the source: Thonon Léman Tourisme, Vegetti trail, Yvoire to Nernier. Times are walking times without breaks; they vary with fitness, terrain and season.

The route

Leaving Yvoire, the Vegetti trail follows the edge of the plateau above Lake Geneva to the neighbouring village of Nernier. The path mixes tarmac, earth and stones, and is even passable with an all-terrain pushchair.

It is a good way to extend a visit to Yvoire away from the crowds, with the Swiss shore opposite.

What you see on the way

  • Lake Geneva just below you all the way
  • The village of Nernier
  • Walkable all year round
