The route

Suggested by the tourist office, this tour starts at the Grand Port and follows the east-shore cycle path to Le Bourget-du-Lac, via the Lido and Les Mottets. It then climbs through Bourdeau towards the Tunnel du Chat (a separate tunnel is reserved for bikes), before dropping down to Jongieux and its vineyards, Saint-Pierre-de-Curtille and Conjux.

From Conjux, a shuttle boat (booking required) takes you back to the Grand Port (or the train from Vions, 6 km away). A two-day version goes via Chanaz.
