The route
The Chambotte viewpoint is one of the finest views of the lake: you can see almost all of it, with Hautecombe Abbey on the far shore. The loop, waymarked in yellow and green, sets off from there towards Mont de Corsuet, passes a natural viewpoint in a clearing, then comes back via La Tailla and the hamlet of La Chambotte.
The path is shady, a mix of stones and earth; the high point is at around 820 m. Take care on the short stretch of road on the way back.
