Two things not to confuse: the snow depth, measured on the ground at Courchevel’s Météo-France post, and the snow forecast, the snowfall total announced by the Open-Meteo model for Courchevel 1850 (1,850 m) and at Saulire (2,738 m) over 7 days. Courchevel is part of Les 3 Vallées (600 km of pistes); from Albertville it is 51 km, about 49 min without traffic.

The official piste map is published by the tourist office (interactive map, with live slope openings and lift status) and by S3V, the lift operator (PDF map). From 1 November to 31 March, Savoie and Haute-Savoie require winter or all-season tyres with the 3PMSF symbol, or snow chains or snow socks carried in the car.
On winter Saturdays the RN90 between Albertville and Moûtiers gets jammed: the drive often takes twice as long. Leave early or check road conditions first.
